Art, Fashion, Nature

“In these works, one can read a certain dichotomy between the marketing and media world in which we live and ethical values that are dear to me. This is an invitation for all of us to contemplate, to rediscover the beauty of a single seed of a wild grass, the delicacy of a flower, or the smell of the foam.”  – Christophe Guinet, Interview for FastcCoDesign

Christophe Guinet a French plant artist and his project Just Grow It, has taken a complete 360 stance on the very fashionable Nikes. Instead of just any designer or artist collaboration with the label, Guinet has turned these high cut shoes into footwear even Thumbelina would die for. From seeds, barks, earth, branches, nothing can stop Guinet. These unexpected juxtapositions between the man made and nature has created insightful yet intriguing results. In turn I can’t help but smile while typing this post.

Très Bien.
